.. left my blog alone! and might continue the blog writing routine I had before, 1 entry per quarter. I know, so unproductive. Trying hard to change that. And trying hard not to lie that I'm trying hard to change that.

There is too much things to do, to think rather than rambling in a blog. I can't understand the people who get mad/sad if their friends do not contact them frequently on Facebook. Hey, they got lots of other important things to do than the Facebook. Get a life. (sorry I know this is so random!)

So,

It's almost a month after I came back here in Rochester from summer vacation in Malaysia. And looks like I can't finish my '80 days of summer' entry on time. I think people can tell that I had a great Raya at home, after 2 years of celebrating it abroad.

One of the 'glad-that-I-did' things that I did on my summer was visiting my sick uncle. And he passed away after several days I came back to Roc. Al-fatihah for him.

We can't trade anything for a family. Not money, not time. Nothing. And sometimes that is one of the reason why I want to make sure that I am home at least once a year.

However, after planning some random next summer plans on my head, I wish that I'll have all the strength to not going home.

For taking Environmental Microbiology, Biochemistry: Conformation, Organizational Behavior, and Into Photography for Non-majors classes, almost every week is an exam week.

Dan juga untuk mengelakkan sebarang kejadian ibu muda yang tidak tahu menjaga anak lalu anak mati berjemaah daripada berlaku. And to avoid them from being stray cats.

So, at the end, the vacation turned out to be a massive diarrhea disaster.

Seriously, we all should take extra precaution when finding food. Cleanliness is very important. There's quite a lot of food poisoning news in the media that lead to death.

Rambling: Third day of family vacation in Bandung.

I did my Guinness World of Record; vomiting my breakfast at the top of the mountain. I knew there's something wrong with me since morning. I lost the appetite to eat and felt quite dizzy. And the zig zag narrow road to the top of the mountain was just making my condition even worst.

It weather was cold and windy. More or less like the Fall season in the us. As we didn't prepare ourselves for the weather, we didn't have the mood to go around. Especially when my parents were not that strong to hike in that weather.

The gunung berapi scenery was amazing though. Well, it was the first time of my life to see a gunung berapi be it dead or alive.

So, after a while, we went downhill (by our van sewa) to continue our 'pencarian' at Pasar Baru.

Along the way, I was vomiting again. in the car. in a plastic bag. a transparent one. yuck.

but that was right after my sister was vomiting.

So, my mom insisted that we should head back to the hotel to get some rest before went shopping.

That was went everything just getting more worst. I defecated countless times. Diarrhea to be exact. and several times I was defecated blood. Plain blood. nothing else but blood. never in may my 21-to-be life that I defecated blood. Of course I was scared! Scared to death. I even think that I might die from this.

Alhamdulillah, I'm still alive to write this post.

Everyone was sick on that day. One was having fever. One was diarrhea and vomiting. I was the extreme one so far. We didn't have the strength to do anything but sleep. Thanks Allah for giving us a nurse on pension (my mother) so she can taok care of us burdensome even though she wasn't feeling very well too. note that we were on 3 separate rooms. see what a mother would do for us family. love u mom xoxo

We assume that we had a serious food poisoning.

So, the aftermath, no ones dare to make fun of each other anymore. em maybe just on that day. hehe

Rambling: Second day of Bandung family vacation.

Pasar Baru is a shopping heaven for many. It has almost everything including kain langsir yang akan siap ditempah dalam masa sehari. How cool is that? but couldn't find even one Vans slip on. Is it already out of trend or something? I know I can get an original one in America but...who doesn't like the cheaper one?

Teh Botol is very famous there. It tasted a bit bitter. but still delicious. and drinking tea out of a glass bottle is kinda fun.

and on that day, everyone was still happy, even happier (because of the 'hasil tangkapan' at Pasar Baru) and still can make fun of each other. Another day of happiness.

now I can get an original one in America ... but who does not like the Cheaper one? Botol is very famous there. It tasted a bit bitter. but still delicious. and drinking tea out of a glass bottle is kinda fun. and on that day, everyone was still happy, even happier (Because of the 'catch' at the New Market) and still can making fun of each other. Another day of happiness.

Rambling: This konon amoi girl won second place for the Bayi Sihat and Ceria at her taska. Her abang is also studying at the same school. I was very very shocked to see that his behavior at school was definitely different with when he was at home or with family members. Kat rumah bukan main lagi bergurau senda and keep on questioning why this and that and we even called him BBA for Budak Banyak Akal. Dekat sekolah, he is the most passive and manja-with-cikgu type of boy among his same age friends. He even ate alone at the corner of the canteen. Gosh, it was one of the saddest moments ever.

Can't believe it in about 3 months, I'll be in Junior year (third year).

Spring in Rochester so far is so unpredictable. It was snowing for the first few weeks of spring. and it was all gloomy and raining for the last few weeks of spring (which is now).

Its kun fayakun. "Be and it will be". Human power can't change that.

I survived the adventure wellness class; rock climbing taught by mr good looking. One thing that my two malay classmates will surely remember is when I was belaying an american guy at 60 degree and my feet were barely touch the ground! Oh so scary. And haha he was shaking right after he touches the ground. takut ye? millions of sorry to him. but hey, he was the one who asked for favor. and I was the one who agreeing. ok. felt guilty

but maybe he will learn a lesson after that; never to put trust on small girl who has a confident look.

I bought a new friend to accompany me :) and to teach me to never stop learning. I always wanted to be good at any instrument since I was younger and because I already gave up on guitar (sakit jari lembut ni), I decided to be good at this. It may takes a while. Especially when I try to play some songs from youtube (hafal kat mana nak tekan) not from scratch (notes, chords, harmony chords etc).

Haven't 'play' with Photoshop for a very longgggg time. and Alhamdulillah I still can remember basic things about it and tadaaa.

To beloved seniors, I wish I could do better :) and as I were browsing/stealing your 'kisah lama' photos, I became aware of your 'timeline' (most of them are funny and I found myself laughing alone in front of the laptop) and I really wish that you guys will still be here, being the sisters and brothers like you always do. You guys are the best. :' ) MySA will gonna have a rapid 'climate change' after this (if you know what i mean).

The commencement will be held less than 15 hours. Congratulations in advance!

The note below is like a summary of last night event. Copied from Nazrin's forwarded email,

"Dear Malaysian students, After being personally invited by my students, I had the wonderful pleasure of attending the Malaysian Night yesterday evening. Thank you so much for taking the time and exerting the energy to put this on for your fellow students and faculty at R.I.T. It was truly an enriching experience.

The musical play based on the search for love by Sultan Azuraddin Shah was delightful and fascinating. The tale was mystical and spellbinding...how the Sultan is lonely, but gives his first love, a Chinese Princess away to the one she loves in an act of kindness, then how he rises to the challenge of a Fairy Princess (a goddess in other cultures I think) with the amazing feats of strength and cunning to win her, only to adhere to his principles, allowing only unconditional love. Then the sad tale of meeting two lovely mystical princesses who kill each other as a result human nature, and then coming to the incredible story of how the Sultan slays a gang of pirates to free a simple village woman who helps him, and how they fall in love. I think it is an amazing tale and am still spellbound by the acting and the amazing dancing and music.

The acting was fabulous, the dancers were talented and energetic, the choreography was stunning, the costumes and props amazing ! It combined a great mixture of acting, music and delightful humor! The amount of time and work you must have all put into this and your standing ovation at the end was very well deserved.

Congratulations on a truly remarkable performance and - thanks for the treats after the show too !

I was still on the stage (making the last pose at the end of Kurik Kundi performance) when I saw an American guy made a standing ovation for us. And that made everyone else in the auditorium to stand and make a crowd standing ovation for us! OMG that was sooooo unexpected!

SubhannAllah what a great feeling I had during that time! The appreciation wishes from the audiences right after it ended made me feel like a mother who had born a child! I know i'm exaggerating but you know, the feeling of proud of your titik peluh and sleepless nights were all worth it! yeay!

and surprisingly, right after the night we received 7 invitations to perform on their event!

Jason Reeves - The Sun Shines On Everything

The place that i always find myself in the calmness the most, that i would put it in my every summer holiday list, that i see myself having my wedding receptionist there (even though i know jangan mimpilah!), is the sea/beach.

The time of the day that i always find myself starring amazingly to the sky doing nothing while my heart keeps saying subhanallah subhanallah, is during the sunset.

And when both of my favorite things happened at the same time on my favorite countryside land, i felt like my 'roh' was taken away (in a good way). Vanished in that serenity. One of the best-est feelings that I had. thank You Allah. The nature gives us the thought of You, indeed. You are AWESOME :)

Maaflah lepas 2 bulan baru nak cerita pasal awesomest vacation kat Florida.

So, I went to the biggest Disneyland in the world!! *scream!*

That's why it has the -world and not -land (duh).

Basically, it has 4 parks in it in which one day for a park is not enough (at least for us). Can you imagine how big the whole Disney World area really is? By the way, I'm not going to tell about the Disney World facts. You can find it here.

Disney World for me is a place to experience a little girl's life. Being me, the little girl. There's no word to describe how the experience feels like. You have to go to experience it.

Hakuna matata

There was a Festival of The Lion King at Animal Kingdom (one of the parks). It's like a Lion King musical. There's singing, acting and stuffs. And I was one of the most excited adult (young adult maybe..) in there!

The movie was out in 1994. I was 4 years old. My sisters were at the age of they-are-able-to-be-addicted-to-something. So my house had quite a lot of The Lion King stuffs. We had a book of songs together with a cassette (so nostalgic!). We had a Lion King cap. We had.......emm those are all that I could remember for now. But we were really really into that movie! I remember I acted being a lion, being a Simba or Nala, and singing together with the song played (from the casette) when I was 6 or 7 (can't remember). I was THAT into the movie.

I still can't believe that I remember most of the lyrics after more than 10 years! Yes, I sang along while watching the musical. I was veryyyyyyy excited!

The best part is remembering the childhood times while watching my childhood favorite movie musical live in front of my eyes.

Here goes my 2 cents:

One thing I realized about the Disney thing especially when I was in Disneyworld is that they teach/try to implement the "dream will come true" thing in everyone's mind. Most of the visitors are kids fyi. In most of the shows there must be a dream/imagination-like song played.

Disneyland is a piece of someone else's dream (Walt's dream of course).

That I think he wanted to let everyone to not stop dreaming. Be whoever you want to be. Defeat whoever you want to defeat. In Mickey's Fantasmic show, Mickey and all the villains are trying to turn his dream into nightmares (musnahkan mickey juga rasanya). He defeated the villains by saying something like "it's my imagination. I can do everything".

My friend once overheard a conversation of a father with his daughter.

Father: Want do you want to be honey? Do you want to be a princess?

Girl: I want to be a cowboy.

Father: You want to be a cowboy?

Girl: Yes

Father: Of course honey you can be anyone you want.

What I'm trying to say is that most of the Americans let their children to dream to be this and that. And Disney is one of the tools to make that happens. I believe it is one of the reasons why they are far ahead of us (read: Malaysians) in terms of technologies, innovations and many things. Look at how Walt's dream of creating a land filled with his creations/imaginations, came true. And Mary-Claire King's determination to solve the mystery behind breast cancer (kesan tissue culture exam =.=). Have heard about the power of imagination? Turning thoughts into things? You probably might heard of them if you read motivational books/articles or have a dad working as a motivation consultant (like mine).

From my side of view, we (read: Malaysians) put limitations to what our kids can be.

No you can't be a superman it is not real you must be a doctor. In kindergarten too, they make us wear the costumes of "career adult" during my time (I'm not sure if they still do now). Even if they were too young to know about how the whole world works.

The 'logical' thinking makes us to go in one direction. To be ordinary. Pepatah 'hidup biar berpijak pada bumi yang nyata', jangan 'berangan-angan mat jenin' and so forth can make us afraid to dream out of the ordinary.

It is not a bad thing at all though, don't get me wrong. Cuma aku rasa macam rugi kalau tak terapkan 'budaya' itu dalam fikiran.

By the way, everything has the pros and cons. Kalau asyik berimaginasi memanjang tapi tak fikir logik akal, macam mana nak maju. and vice versa.

We have been given a great mind from God. Think, imagine, dream as you wish and of course, it must be followed with determination and hard works to achieve what we have been thinking/imagining/ dreaming for. Don't put limit on what you can be (except the religion boundaries for sure).

Again, those are just my 2 cents of opinion. :)

ps: Winter quarter is over but the snow keep on falling dreadfully. hmm.

These are the reasons why I didn't updated my blog for quite a long time.

1) Writing seminar

I'm taking the course now. I will not ever taking it if was not a compulsory course. I'm currently struggling with the research paper. Stress tau buat research paper ni. Ingatkan azab research paper kat intec dah berakhir. Rupanya tak :(

and this is the major factor why i don't have the mood to write.

I wrote about my thought on Egypt issue but it was left unpublished and undone because i didn't have the mood to do so.

But it's okayy. It's already week 9! Means I got 2 more weeks and I'm done with Winter quarter! Yeahh.

don't be so excited yet. the finals are also in 2-weeks time.

So, thanks to Allah friends in Egypt that you guys are safe ! :)

2) Global Unification

It's a yearly event made by Global Union at RIT that most people waiting for. Americans do not have 'culture'. That is why they (well, not all) love the performances done by international students. :)

After getting the 2nd place place for 3(if i'm not mistaken) consecutive years, Malaysian Student Association(MySa) won the first place last year. FEWIT! :)

and again, we continue to make the malaysians proud by winning the first place again this year! yeayy! :)

Last year, I was the audience. I jumped out of the chair and screamed when the mc announced MySa as the winner. I went home and excitedly watched the show many times from day to day.

This year, I was the performer and I did the same as last year (this time I jumped on the stage) when the mc announced MySa as the winner for the second times. Went home, watched the video so any times while giggling and hoping that it doesn't end (walaupun aku sangat bersyukur that it ends but somehow...yeah, practicing for GU is quite fun)

It wasn't really about the winning. It is about everything in between.

Alahh macam miley cyrus cakap, "it's the climb!"

And most importantly, it's about making people proud of the hard work we've done.

place: tissue culture lab

day: sunday

I went to lab for subculturing cell where I need to make dilutions for the cell so that they have enough medium to live in.

So, I did this and that yada yada yada. And came to a part where I need to pipette 0.25 ml of medium to a culture flask. There was no more 1 ml pipette left (which i needed). Just the bigger scale. I could just ask for it at the stockroom but unfortunately as I mentioned earlier, it was Sunday. Sunday means closed. and also means no lecturers and instructors around. Just the nerds. heh.

I went around the lab looking for it and got nothing. So a friend of mine asked an American guy if he knows where to get those and he had no idea where to get them and said;

" There was a TA (teaching assistant) here (which I don't realize her existence) and she just left if you wanna catch her up."

So I just "Oh okay. Thanks". And turned around to catch the TA.

"Wait! Maybe I can catch her up for you," dan dia terus berlari keluar dari makmal dengan bergaya.

Couple of minutes later he came back with the TA.

I asked him, " You need to use them (pipettes) too, right?"

He said, " Nahh. I don't."

Right at that particular moment, I was melting inside. :)

So guys, there are hundreds of ways to make a girl happy/melt. And one of them is definitely being a gentleman. :))

December 1st was the first day of snowing in rochester. How cool is that? :)

Went to class while it was raining. Finished classes and everything went so white! It was so sudden! Okay, I did felt unusual feeling even though I had experienced it a year ago.

I guess maybe, I miss you, snow. :)

This was my first time experiencing the 'real' Black Friday. It was bizarre. Bizarre.

* Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving day which is also the beginning and the 'bomb' of christmas shopping season.

Last time, I went shopping at the mall near RIT at noon. And guess what, almost all of the sales were closed!

This year, we went to Waterloo Premium Outlet which took us about 45 minutes of driving.

The shops opened as early as 9 pm and closed on the next evening.

Like expected, the queue line in front of Coach outlet store was wayyyy toooo long. It was very cold and raining and still the long line keep on longer (from the door to the next 6 stores!). I wonder what the creator of Coach has drugged those people in lines.

(which reminded me of a part in The Confession of Shopaholics movie where there was an outlet sale at the city and everyone went madness! Queue in a long lines and when the store is open, everyone rushed inside like hungry animals!)

but unfortunately, I was too, one of the mad people waited for my turn to enter the Coach. And because of I have waited for an hour in the rain and cold until my legs hurt so bad and my nose kept on releasing it's mucus, I bought myself a 50% off including additional 20% off the original price handbag. It is impossible for you to find a Coach handbag in Malaysia that cost less than a thousand ringgit and I got one that cost me about 300 ringgit (only). So, I guess, it was all worth it :)

And now I have to dress properly to wear that handbag because you can't wear a Coach handbag with sloppy outfit. It is just don't look right.

And to avoid people in Malaysia thinking that I get it from Petaling Street. haha.

Done shopping at Waterloo by 4 am and continue shopping at Eastview mall. Bizarre it was. and I can barely stand still.

11 pm until 9 am the next morning. Yes, I did felt like a walking zombie went shopping.

The first quarter of sophomore year is so unexpected.

It's kinda my fault too for expecting it to be a bit more or less like the freshman year.

Life is getting harder, because it wants you to become tougher.

Its kinda annoying when sometimes we think about 'random normal things' that has become part of our everyday life but we are no longer living the life that includes those 'random normal things'.

for example;

"terngiang-ngiang suara mak aku jerit tiap pagi kejutkan aku subuh"

"terbayang peti ais dan almari kat rumah yang selalu ada makanan"

"selalu kalau petang-petang macam ni mesti ada orang yang ajak lepak kat kedai mamak"

There was a night when I just about to sleep on my bed here. I laid down and suddenly my mind visualized mamamia the cat running through the door and jumped on my body (just like she always always do when i'm at home). Then she lingered around me and went up to my pillow to sleep. I was like, what the ____ (insert suitable word here), and went back to reality.

Yup, i don't like it when i start to miss something.

makes me realize of how much little things i had take for granted.

Thinking of myself and not thinking of what she would feel.

But I know, a mom will always be a mom; she will do anything for her kids' sake. ANYTHING. Especially giving the best education for her daughter even though they are miles apart.

too many events happened lately. so, i'm having a difficulty to summing them up (like people care sangat lah kan haha).

1 september 2010:

I was officially 20th! Life has been great and become greater. Thanks to Allah for everything. EVERYTHING. there's too much to be listed. from the tiniest one till the enormous part that had, has and will happen to my life. just simply everything. :)

But sadly, i'm no longer a 'teen'. But again hey, age is just a plain number :)

Wishing to be more mature in thinking. Wishing to experience more unforgettable experiences especially when I'm still here, away from family and home, in this so-called the land of opportunity. Wishing to be a more grateful person. Wishing this and that.

that's the best thing of having a graphic designer as a sister! :)

to 'you': after all the hard works and struggles and the tensions and the pokai-s and all, you have made it! proud of you. very. :) and I keep on praying Allah will make your life easier. It was hard for me at the first few weeks living in a foreign land and it must be even harder for you as the first batch, in a foreign land, with strangers who are talking in a strange language and accent err at least for me. Be strong :)

Going back to New York in a 20-hours flight which also took almost 2 days plus the transit. Penat gila. SANGAT.

Arrived safely at Rochester. Terus masuk rumah baru yang serba serbi baru siap dengan bau kayu yang memualkan. Got some problems with the house at first. Itu ini. Tapi sekarang bilik sudah jadi cantik sedikit. :)

ramadan datang lagi.

3-4 tahun Ramadhan yang lepas:

Seret kaki dengan lemah pulang ke dorm. Prep petang pula semua lebih prefer untuk tidur petang menghilangkan penat. kecuali jika diserang oleh warden,

"amboi-amboi anak dara! tidoq petang muka tak cantik hampa tau. bangun lekas pi prep!"

basuh muka, capai tudung, dan sambung tidur di kelas atau surau. :)

Riadah juga begitu. Tapi dengan sedikit kelonggaran sebab warden tak serbu. Warden pun nak masak untuk berbuka juga lah.

Saat yang paling tak boleh lupa; pukul 6.30(atau 6.00 lupa dah) petang dah beratur ambil makanan dengan tray besi di tangan. Takut nanti ramai malas nak beratur panjang-panjang.

Tapi sebelum tu, kena tau menu dulu baru teruja nak pergi ambil makanan. Tengah tunggu giliran mandi pun boleh tanya-tanya lagi. Menu yang paling special bagi aku ialah nasi pelangi. Tak pernah seumur hidup makan nasi pelangi atau nama betul dia nasi hujan panas. Dan nasi pelangi ni hanya ada masa bulan puasa sahaja dekat maktab.

Kalau bertuah, dapat lah pergi ke bazar ramadan dengan mak-mak abah-abah homeroom. Jalan agak jauh jugak. Tak larat nak layan cerita lawak kawan-kawan. Lagi sanggup penat sebab perut kosong daripada penat perut kosong tambah penat gelak sakan. Tangan pula penuh dengan makanan bila balik. Itu tak termasuk dengan yang dipesan kawan-kawan.

Kalau lebih bertuah lagi dapat buka puasa kat kfc atau pizza hut dengan homeroom. (nama je balik pulau tapi semua tempat makanan-makanan segera yang sedap semua ada tau.)

Tapi selalunya sekali sepanjang puasa sahaja dapat peluang-peluang macam tu.

Lepas ambil makanan dan air bergula, cepat-cepat cop tempat duduk kat meja kelas sendiri atau kelas orang lain. Ya, memang sudah ditetapkan duduk dengan rakan sekelas. Tapi sape lah sangat yang ikut. Siap boleh trade lagi dengan rakan sekelas yang lain untuk berbuka dengan kawan-kawan rapat.

Kemudian tunggu untuk kebisingan dewan selera menjadi sunyi sepi untuk memberi laluan kepada si tukang pembaca doa untuk membacakan doa berbuka puasa.

Selepas sahaja makan terus seret kaki lagi ke surau tapi kali ini seret kaki dengan gembira sebab perut penuh dan dapat berjemaah tarawih sama-sama (itupun kalau tak mengantuk yang amat atau perut terlalu penuh sampai pening-pening). :)

Oh ya, kalau pasal sahur pula, boleh kira dengan jari saja berapa kali aku bangun. Malas tau nak bersiap pakai baju serba kesopanan walaupun jelas muka tak mandi untuk ke dewan selera.

Ramadhan 1431:

Cakap saja harini nak makan apa. Semua ada depan mata. Nak balas dendam balik untuk tahun lepas (walaupun hanya untuk 3 minggu sob sob). :)

This year was the toughest, like expected. Who doesn't be affected by distance? Everyone does. Even if some people said they don't, I know deep down inside, they know they had been affected. or maybe they simply less care about their own relationship. For those who never been in this kind of life situation, you will never know/you have no idea how million miles away can affect you, until you are in it.

But yeah, to stay is a choice. :)

a week of not-at-home and three days of convention really give me something. besides of those long-sleepy talks.

got to go to the states i've never been to. got new friends. got connections with some 'orang kuat'. and most importantly, got these informations below:

one thing about biotechnology in malaysia,

Dr. Murray Hunter from Perlis Essential Oil sdn bhd showed us something like this,

a crawling baby ---15 years--> a running man

and the crawling baby is us. So, whoever thinks that biotechnology is the 'in' thing in the job area, you are wrong. Unless you are the one who created that job.

one big thing about biotechnology;

Biotechnology can never stand up alone (at least in my own country). It must have a certain combination of some different courses; i.e chemical engineering or statistics, or anything related, to make it easier for jobs finding .

and another VERY big thing about biotechnology;

Biotechnologist must have a business mind. That's the only way biotech can be useful, for you, for the community, for making millions bucks. or else your hundred thousands ringgit of research will turn into 'arkib negara' or trash or something.

enough said i guess. It's time to shape the future. :)

Cuti telah membuatkan aku rasa nak membebel dengan banyak. So, there you go...

The last time I went to my previous lower high school was about....5 years ago. And I felt so old right now. So when my best friend asked me to help her out with her mom's business thingy at that school last saturday, I just said yes. Tapi bukan sebab aku rindukan sekolah tu tapi sebab aku pun nak buat business jugak. :)

At the same time, I felt different when I was there.

1. My mind was reminiscing the past, maybe.

Seingat aku, aku memang tak berapa suka dengan sekolah ni. Entah kenapa. Mungkin sebab dia sedikit jauh dari rumah aku dan aku pula perlu berbasikal setiap hari naik bukit turun bukit panas terik muka hitam berbelang tak terkata. Mungkin juga sebab aku tak ramai kawan kat situ. Sebab yang betul-betul boleh buat kawan kat sana pon kurang 10 orang kot. Pening tengok golongan kain senteng sampai atas stokin, tudung senteng yang dipotong sendiri, lengan baju kurung dilipat sampai atas siku. Siapa yang dulu berasal dari sekolah harian mesti tau golongan apa aku tengah cakap ni. Tapi itu masa zaman aku lah. Zaman sekarang aku tak pasti. Still, I did have two best friends forever. Kemana saja bertiga. Walaupun aku dulu pengawas sekolah yang berdedikasi dan disayangi (uhuk! uhuk!) dan juga ramai peminat dalam waiting list (hak thuih! dulu muka berminyak berjerawat dan hitam ada hati nak ngaku), aku rasa aku akan lebih terjamin kalau aku pindah sekolah. Entah kenapa. Aku macam nak mulakan hidup baru (chewah). So, I was working so freaking hard to get out of there. Eh bukan dengan cara aku kena buang sekolah ke apa, tapi dengan PMR. Aku rasa saat aku paling rajin sepanjang hayat aku masa itulah. Balik sekolah dah pukul 2. Kayuh-kayuh basikal laju-laju balik rumah untuk mandi dan makan. Lepas itu kayuh basikal balik pergi sekolah untuk study group. Pukul 5-6 macam tu baru balik. Lepas tu malam pukul 8 ada tuisyen pulak. Balik tusyen nak kena buat homework segala pula. Gigih gila. Aku pun tak percaya yang itu aku. Believe it or not? Believe it. Alhamdulillah dengan berkat usaha aku dan rezeki dari Allah, dari markah math 45% jadi 100%, dari 2A dalam trial jadi 8A dalam PMR, dapatlah aku diterima masuk dalam sistem mrsm. Dan masa masuk mrsm lah saat rapid change dalam hidup aku. Hidup aku berubah sama sekali masa tu. Really change me. Giving me so many things that I could never get outside of that small world. For me, to be in a boarding school was above awesome. especially in breaking the rules part (haha).

2. dan mungkin sebab..eh, lamanya tak ada kat tempat budak sekolah ramai-ramai jual makanan tak berkhasiat.

Siapa yang rindu nak makan aiskrim malaysia perisa oren asam masin dalam ada asam seketul, angkat tangan!

3. maybe..how kids nowadays dimanjakan. yes, I do sound like a makcik tua but that's the truth.

he owns that and he's just 7.

4. and maybe....on how we were during those times.

budak perempuan itu : wei kau sini jap aku nak tanya kau skit. sini arrr

budak lelaki itu : amende?

budak perempuan itu : apsal kau ni hitam sangat ah?

honesty is the best policy maybe? or it's just because sukanya-dapat-ejek-kau.

5. sebab aku baru dapat tahu kawan sekelas aku dahulu dah kahwin!

I can't imagine if I was in her shoes. Married in not yet 20s. But I know, that's a good decision of hers. Happy that she finally gets her 'the only one'. :)

Whatever it is, every place that I went to, making me who I am today. Giving me what I have today. Putting me where I am today.

i hate the fact that i'm going to waste my 1 and a half months of summer without that person. and i hate it even more when there's nothing i could do to change that. don't get me wrong though. i blame nobody here.

two:

kenduri sana kenduri sini. makan sana makan sini. don't we all just loveeee free food? GOOD food. and nobody would feed you for free in US. So, bangun terus mandi terus sarung baju kurung selendang wedges. :) pelik jugak. aku ni dari dulu tak suka pergi kenduri. malas gosok baju. malas gosok tudung. panas kat luar berpeluh2. bla bla. bla bla..

three:

looking forward for a getaway. I need the scent of beach. the smell of the sea. YES Port Dickson off we go! :)

four:

never been happier with families around me. especially my nephew; aiez yang suka buat kelakar and si gemok mama mia. :D
